I just recently got diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder called AIDP or Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I am raising money to pay the medical bills that come from my hospital stay, rehabilitation center stay, and outpatient physical therapy.

This past July I started having some weird neurological symptoms that were first written off as a muscle spasm in my neck. Four doctors, tons of testing, and a week-long hospital stay later it was diagnosed as Guillain-Barre Syndrome or AIDP (Acute Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyradiculopathy). Turns out my body created antibodies that started attacking all of my nerves. This caused ascending paresis (numbness, tingling, and loss of sensation) that started in my feet and made its way up my legs, loss of vision, loss of appetite, and nausea. I ended up with numbness all over my body and absolutely no feeling in my lower legs, leaving me unable to walk, stand, or even roll over in bed. Now I'm in an inpatient rehabilitation facility until September 10th and will require outpatient physical therapy for months after. Throughout this whole process we are looking at more than $10,000 worth of medical bills, just to start. On top of all of that I am still attending Ohio State University, and will be graduating in May, so tuition is playing a factor as well.

This has taken away my ability to work and I will not be fully recovered for roughly 6 months. For the next few months I will be going to check-ups and physical therapy very regularly. I am asking for financial assistance for my family and I to make it through this difficult time. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and I will be doing my best to update everyone on my recovery process.
