This is our coworker Meghan. Here she is doing two of her favorite things: hugging her little boy and hiking outdoors. She is a nurse here in the pediatric emergency department at JDCH. Before that she worked pediatric oncology and has helped many kids during their fight against cancer. Two weeks ago Meghan was diagnosed with clear cell sarcoma and will be losing her leg above the knee on October 13th.

The nurses here will be throwing fundraisers with donations from local businesses while supplementing the costs out of their own pocket. With the holiday season approaching this is a challenging time to ask for personal leave and financial donations. That said, Meghan is an beautiful human being who has dedicated her life to alleviating the suffering of very sick children while prioritizing her family at every opportunity.
