Our beautiful Sister, Meghan Diane Marie Schneider, was killed in a tragic hit-and-run accident on Saturday, November 2, 2019. At the age of 18, she was diagnosed with disorganized schizophrenia. She was in treatment with Mental Health America and we had finally reached a comfortable level with her medication management. She was a great woman, a kind person, and a free spirit with a big heart. She was a beloved daughter, sister, auntie, granddaughter, niece, and friend that will truly be missed.
As we struggle to navigate the path of grief and loss that is our new reality, we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support for our family. Thank you to our friends, our extended family, the friends of friends, and so many others in our community that we don't even know. We appreciate you all!
So many of you have asked what we need and/or how you can help and we are thankful for your concern. Our biggest need right now is help paying for Meghan’s funeral and memorial expenses. The last thing we want to do is ask anyone for money, but, on our own, we just can't pull together anything close to the amount we need as we have also lost our Grandpa this summer and our funding went to his memorial cost.
So, we are asking for donations to help us pay for Meghan’s funeral and memorial costs. We deeply appreciate any consideration on Meghan's behalf.
Please help us lay Meghan to rest with the dignity and respect that she deserves and that were not extended to her at the time of her accident and death.
