Help Meghan after 2nd brain surgery

My name is Ashley, Meghan is my sister and I am here in the hopes that I can bring my sister some peace and stability in these hard times she is having. If you know my sister then you know that she is the most giving person there is.

Many people are not aware what she has been silently going through

There have been numerous trying times in her life but this past year has been overwhelming for her in the worst way. After finding someone that means the world to her and finally being at I would say the happiest point in her life things have been constantly getting in the way of that for her. Finally ready to try for a family of their own Meghan and Matt have faced what most people only have nightmares of. Typically I would say loosing a baby is a very traumatic event in itself but to add to the trauma not only did my sister loose her baby later in her pregnancy but she was completely caught of guard not knowing she was in labor she drove to her regular doctors appointment where she would there deliver/loose her baby unprepared, alone and devastated.

In the coming weeks after losing her son she then had multiple appointments with her doctors that led them to find and diagnose her with Chiari malformation.

A condition in which brain tissue extends into the spinal canal, present at birth. There are numerous symptoms from this she deals with daily.

Fast forward from January losing her son she then underwent brain surgery in April to help fix her condition.

Unfortunately this surgery would not fix the problem but make some of her already constant symptoms worse.

Now currently after her 6 month follow up with the neurologist that did her 1st surgery they have decided that they need to get her back in quickly to have a second more invasive surgery to try and fix her condition yet again. They have pushed her surgery very quickly and out of the blue to Dec 6 which happens to be her birthday. Not only is this so sudden and alot for her to process but with her job she has already been off for the initial surgery and the loss of her son which has between both of them exhausted all of her time she has to take off. She has so much worry constantly about the bills coming in that we all know never stop I am hoping to raise enough money to put all those worries to rest. Also she will have to pay her full deductible again yet again.

Meghan and Matt are both very eager to try and start a family of their own but those dreams have to be put on hold until meghan can get her self back to 100% again. There are risks she would have to consider if they were to try and have another baby prior to getting her condition fixed. Understanding the risks and trying to make sense of them are two different things it is a lot to process for anyone, let alone someone who has already been threw enough. We are praying this surgery fixes her condition and they can get on the road to family life very soon.

From the bottom of my heart I want nothing more than to see my sister at peace, happy and healthy. Meghan deserves nothing but the best and I hope to give that to her with the help of our family and friends.

That being said I AM NOT telling Meghan I am going to raise this money for her she would be devastated and feel terrible. She is not someone that would ever ask for help. Ever… But with the time she has to be off for surgery and time that has already been lost prior to this the money raised will help pay her current bills she already has and future bills she will accrue.

So please if you have it in the means to help her reach financial stability and peace of mine during these times please help and if you don’t know that just praying for her to find peace and stability is just as great thank you everyone from the bottom of my heart !!
