Megan's Wish (Kyle McDonald RIP) Scoliosis Fund

This fundraiser is in memory of Kyle McDonald,son,brother,husband,father and Consultant Spinal Surgeon.        ‘Kyle’s family and friends are raising funds for Megan’s Wish, a charity supporting families and children living
with scoliosis it Nr Ireland.

Megan's Wish have kindly funded a bench in memory of our late son
Kyle at Musgrave Park Hospital Belfast. Kyle was our son, a husband to Poppy and father to Darcey(7) and Rory(5) and a brother to Cathy and Paula. He was a young successful spinal consultant just reaching the peak of his career at 38 years old. Kyle retired to bed on July 25th 2020 having planned a family gathering for the following morning. Sadly Kyle, a fit young man, never woke from his sleep.

As his family we are all devastated, particularly for his young wife and children. His colleagues and the patients he cared for have also suffered an immense loss. Waiting lists for scoliosis surgery in Nr Ireland are mounting and Kyle would want us to ensure his legacy was targeted at those children he served during his short career.

'Megan's Wish have now secured International Scoliosis day 26th June to hand a beautiful bench over to the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. What a poignant day to remember him.

Kyle will never be forgotten, he was a legend!! Just ask any of his patients, our kids will continue to do you proud, they will fight for better services and now, they can always remember you at appointments and xrays, your legacy will live on #always
