On July 10th, 2020, at the age of 30, I suffered a major heart attack that has left part of her heart damaged beyond repair. Thankfully my husband was still home and had not left for work because this could've been a very different story. I woke up that morning with terrible chest and back pain, cold sweats, nauseous, weakness and no feeling in her left arm. My husband quickly got me to the hospital where it was confirmed that I was in fact suffering from a severe heart attack. Since I live in a very small town, I had to be airlifted to a bigger hospital where the cardiologist team was waiting for my arrival. They found that one of my major arteries was completely blocked, causing blood flow and oxygen to my heart to stop. An emergency STEMI surgery was done, placing a stent in the coronary artery to open and reduce the chance of another heart attack. 

My doctors are not sure yet what caused the heart attack. I live a healthy, extremely active lifestyle and, aside from the blood clot, they said that my arteries are perfect. Doctors have assured me that with time and patience I can continue to live a normal life and I'm determined to do just that! I'll be starting cardiac rehab this month, going 2-3 times per week for 3 months, and easing my way back into my active lifestyle. 

Through it all, I've managed to keep a positive attitude! However, after a 10 day hospital stay, the bills are starting to come in. I'm unable to work during this time and will need financial support to help cover medical expenses, cardiac rehab related expenses, as well as the airlift.  Any size donation would be greatly appreciated to help alleviate some of the financial stress of this unexpected situation.
