Megan's Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer Help

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Megan Rose and I'm seeking help to pay for medicals bills and lost wages as I fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma Cancer for the second time in my life.

I am a wife and a mother of three kids. Coltyn (9), Jaxon (7), and Reygan (3) are the world to my husband Michael and I.

I am a Paraprofessional at Moose Lake Schools and a Parks Worker at Moose Lake State Park. I am the president of the local union. I volunteer with Carlton County 4H federation teaching youth archery and wildlife. My hobbies include breeding and showing rabbits with my kids, playing with our dogs, and just spending time with family.

When I was 12, I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. After chemotherapy and radiation, I was put into remission.

On February 3, 2022, I had surgery to remove a lymph node that was swollen on my neck. February 4th, I found out I had Hodgkin's Lymphoma again. I was referred to the University of Minnesota as they have dealt with more recurrences, relapses, than St. Luke's. I was able to meet Dr. Sanjal Desai, who has become my biggest cheerleader and advocate, besides my family. She is a leader in a new type of cancer drugs, immunotherapy. She fought the insurance company and was able to get it approved for me. On March 16th, 2022 I will begin the first of several infusions. We have high hopes that this medication will put me back into remission. If this medication doesn't work, chemotherapy will be used. Once I am in remission, I will have stem cell transplant. This is a minimum of 5 days in the hospital and 2 to 4 weeks for recovery.

We are at the beginning of a battle that is frought with financial difficulties that no one should have to battle. Between having to take time off of work, and I don't have many hours left, and driving to Minneapolis several times a month, we are asking for financial help. We also know that the insurance company will not pay in full for these new drugs.

The worst feeling in my life is helplessness. I need to get treatment to survive, but this treatment is going to make it hard to survive financially.
My family and I truly appreciate any help you are able to donate.

Thank you!
