Hi, my name is Olivia and I'm fundraising for my best friend Meganne. Fifteen days before Christmas a tree fell in her house. One minute she was eating dinner and the next she was forced to the floor by broken sheets of ceiling drywall, rafters and sharp pieces of metal roofing. All power went out and she was in the dark terrified. She was able to find her phone and get herself and her puppy to safety.

Now five days before Christmas she's learned that her home will be an active construction site without power for many months. She is without a home for the holiday and foreseeable future.

The insurance company is not going to cover everything (not even close) and they are not helping her with temporary housing. They are also not covering additional tree removal so this doesn't happen again.
