Hey! My name is Megan Falley and I am a poet and performer living in Brooklyn, NY. I am the author of "After the Witch Hunt" and the forthcoming "Redhead and the Slaughter King" (both published with Write Bloody Press.) My highly personal work seeks to empower women, abuse-survivors, and queer folk while dissecting family, media, body image, mental illness and addiction issues. You may recognize my work from TV One's "Verses and Flow" or UpWorthy.com.


I am trying to raise funds to attend the Woman of the World Poetry Slam in Austin, TX this March. The competition is a four day long poetry festival which gives much-needed stage time to women's voices in an art form often dominated by men. I'd like to go because I want to immerse myself in the talent and words of other women-identified writers, and because I think I've written some poems this year that could positively effect the world - even if it's just the teensiest rupture.


Normally I'm shy about asking for a hand - but if my writing or I have ever fed you in any way, and you want to return that love, it would mean the moon. If you don't have any funds, just sharing this page and encouraging others to donate would be wildly appreciated.
