Megan is a ten year old student at the Shaw Elementary School. Like all children she loves her tablet, Girl Scouts and spending time with family and friends. She has a bright, cheerful personality and if you didn't know that she had health issues, she certainly does not let it get her down.
Megan was diagnosed with renal dysplasia at a very young age. Although she has been undergoing treatments for years, Megan's family has recently been told that she we will need to undergo dialysis at Boston Children's Hospital until a kidney can be found. As you can imagine this will be a difficult and expensive time for the family. Megan's mom who works in the Elmwood Cafeteria will be unable to work during these treatments and the family will need to travel into Boston every other day.
