Friday, February 7th, 2025, my beloved sister and partner in crime passed away after a lifelong battle with Type 1 diabetes.
Megan was my half-sister by blood, but only in title. We grew up together in Southern California until I was four. When I moved to Northern California, she came with me, and we stayed together until I was seven or eight. Eventually, Greg (Megan’s father) gained custody, and she moved back to Southern California with him. Later, Megan settled in Wichita with her father and remained there.
In December 2009, Megan had a son, Easton, who is a virtual clone of me. Megan and I were siblings in every sense—an equal mix of fighting, followed by intense love and unwavering protectiveness. She was always there when you needed her but struggled to accept help herself, especially from her kid brother, whom she felt responsible for looking after.
Megan loved cars, motorcycles, and animals. She was also an artist with immense skill—talent that few truly understood. My heart is missing a piece, though even that does not compare to the hole left in the world without her.
I will be coordinating a memorial for Megan, though I do not yet know exactly what that will look like. As such, I am reaching out for help. Donations will go toward covering the costs associated with the memorial, and any remaining funds will be put toward a fund to benefit Easton.
Any support, whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser, is deeply appreciated. Thank you.
Note: GoFundMe may automatically adjust the fundraising goal throughout the process based on donations and needs.
