Megan Sage Mueller fund

Hello, we are Amber Marten and Katie Johnson, sisters of Megan. We are writing this on behalf of Megan (Sage) Mueller (daughter of Dan and Brenda Sage) and Ryan Mueller (son of Gordy and Lori Mueller). We are sharing this to update all friends and family with what has been pulling on our hearts these past several weeks. We ask for any support you can provide to Megan, Ryan, and their family as well as additional prayers in this incredibly hard time.

On February 6th 2024, Megan Suffered a seizure causing an aneurysm to rupture in her brain. Thankfully Ryan was home with her and able to get her to the Faith Regional Hospital in Norfolk via ambulance almost immediately. Megan was then transferred via life flight to Omaha Nebraska’s Nuero ICU. Megan has been in the ICU since that time. She has underwent several surgical procedures since that time to lessen the pressure and fluid surrounding her brain.

On Tuesday, February 20th, Megan underwent another surgical procedure to place a shint on the right side of her brain. She came out of that procedure doing great. She was excited they were going to let her get up and walk the halls. Her first goal was to Get out of the hospital room! However, later that evening Megan suffered another seizure and small stroke.

Her medical team proceeded with another surgery that evening and then determined it best to fully sedate her. Magan has been fully sedated and on medical paralysis since that evening of February 20th. They are continuing to perform new treatments (many surgical) to aid Megan's brain in alleviating pressure and fluid.

As you can imagine, this has been a very difficult time for all involved. Megan's husband Ryan is doing the best he can with traveling back and forth from Norfolk to Omaha. He is still trying to get hours in at work as he holds the insurance. Additionally, their three girls have been staying with friends and family, but are missing their mommy terribly and wanting her home! As we all do....

Our goal as a family is to get them through this and make sure Ryan, Megan, and the girls are ok when Megan gets home. She is going to have a long road of recovery.

Any help you can provide to Megan, Ryan, and their three girls is greatly appreciated. They are facing medical bills, travel costs, care costs, missing wages from work, and more.
