Help Megan with medical expenses related to her Lymphoma

It all began in January 2025, when I started having severe pain in my stomach and abdomen. The pain was terrible, making it impossible for me to take care of myself, go to work, and care for my son Hayden, who is a 2 1/2-year-old toddler. I am a certified pharmacy technician and I worked in a pharmacy until my condition made it impossible. I stopped eating except for a few bites and sips of water. I went to the local hospital emergency department 4 times asking for help. When that didn't work, I went 2 additional times to a different hospital further away that has a transplant department, thinking the care might be better. I was soundly disappointed; in fact, the care was worse. My only choice was to pack up and go to my family in Texas.

Once in Texas, the care improved drastically. I was hospitalized on March 1st in Sherman, TX, and I was finally helped with the terrible nausea and severe pain. They exhausted all resources searching for answers as to what was causing the pain, nausea, swelling, and inability to eat. I stayed at this hospital until March 19th and was then transferred to Baylor All Saints in Ft. Worth, TX. It was fortunate this hospital accepted me as a transfer patient, and I was quickly taken to the transplant floor under the care of Dr. Yango, who is a renal specialist that performed my second kidney transplant surgery in June 2016.

In total, I have lost 24 lbs and was diagnosed with several viruses: Cytomegaly, Norvo, and Zoster Varicella, which required IV antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungal medications. On March 26th, I was taken for a biopsy of my lymph nodes, which turned into major surgery with a small bowel resection, enlarged lymph node removal, adhesions, and many nodules were removed.

At this time, the doctors suspected Lymphoma cancer, which was confirmed on April 9th. Fortunately, by a CT scan an abscess was detected early, and it delayed my chemotherapy for 2 weeks.

This illness has come as a shock to our family, we are asking for your prayers and donations to help defray medical costs while decreasing stress and helping me in healing. Thank you and God Bless!!

I am fundraising to cover my medical expenses and support my family during this difficult time.
