Megan Maloney’s Bone Marrow Transplant Fund

On April 19, 2019, life as Megan knew it, was about to change in a way she never imagined. After overlooking small symptoms, she found herself at the ER to then find out Hodgkins  Lymphoma Type B was her diagnosis. This cancer is aggressive, and she was already Stage 4. On short notice, Megan had to uproot her life in Miami, and come back to Tampa for treatment.




I met Megan in May of 2020 and by June we were dating. Today we share a home, have 3 dogs and spend all of our time together. She quickly became an important part of my life and I am incredibly blessed.




Megan started her most recent  treatment in September of 2020, and in January she found that her scans looked good, with most masses clearing up. Megans future finally didn’t lead with a question mark.


This March,  Megan will start a harsh chemo that will require a Bone marrow transplant followed by a Blood Transfusion. They need to freeze her Stem Cells, so that after the chemo destroys everything in its path, they can give them back and hopefully put her into remission. She will be spending up to 5 weeks in and out of the hospital, and will require an aid 24/7  to monitor and assist with the process. The primary caregiver will be me. I am going to do everything expected of me to make sure she is cared for.

 
In November of 2020, I was involved in a car accident, and Broke my pelvis. I have had two hip replacement surgeries over the last 3 months, and after my first operation I developed an infection that could have cost me my leg. I am still recovering and have been out of work since. We also are without a vehicle currently, and rental cars are getting expensive.
