Manchester - Liverpool supporting Megan Hurley Foundation
Hi my name is Elle Morgan. Myself and my partner Louis Crosbie are taking part in the charity bike ride from Manchester to Liverpool to support a charity close to home the Megan Hurley Foundation...
A little bit about the charity:
The annual Megan Hurley Foundation charity bike ride is a significant fundraising event held every year, encompassing a scenic route from Manchester to Halewood. This biking journey spans a considerable distance, providing cyclists with a challenging yet rewarding experience as they pedal through diverse landscapes and terrains.
Starting from Manchester and culminating in Halewood at Megan's memorial bench, the ride symbolises a journey of solidarity and support for the Foundation's charitable initiatives. Cyclists traverse through picturesque countryside, urban landscapes, and rural areas, all while raising funds and awareness for the Foundation's cause.
Participating in the bike ride offers cyclists not only an opportunity to challenge themselves physically but also a chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. By pedaling with purpose, participants contribute directly to the Foundation's efforts in supporting self-employed families coping with the sudden loss of a child and other charitable causes benefiting children.
The Megan Hurley Foundation, founded by Megan's parents Joanne and Michael Hurley in 2018, stands as a testament to Megan Hurley's enduring legacy. Megan was a bright and caring 15-year-old, who tragically lost her life in the Manchester Arena terror attack on May 22, 2017, alongside 21 others.
Remembered for her loving nature and eagerness to help others, the foundation serves as a beacon of her vibrant spirit and compassionate heart.
With a dedication to preserving Megan's values and commitment to kindness, the Megan Hurley Foundation ensures that her memory remains. Through its compassionate initiatives, the foundation changes the lives of those in need, perpetuating Megan's legacy of love and generosity.
