My name's Megan Claire, and I'm an independent artist from Davis, CA. Last year after finishing college I spent a month in Los Angeles recording my first full length project. Now, after a year of work and recording the project is nearly finished and will be coming out this Fall. I spent three years writing songs and saving up the funding for this- playing shows, bars, coffee shops, breweries, craft fairs, livestreaming on TikTok- everything I've ever earned from music since becoming an artist went back into this project.

Since I began making this project, as we all know the state of the economy and living expenses have increased significantly. When I originally budgeted for this piece last Summer, my own income used to be enough to cover the remaining differences of music production, merch creation, publicity and promotion. Now a year later, living costs have increased at a rate faster than my pay has kept up with. I'm finding myself struggling to match the difference and support this project release the way I'd hoped to.

My community is the reason this project is able to exist, saving up every check and dollar bill I've ever received in tips or show/ticket payments to put towards my music. Now, I'm asking my community for help in finishing it. $1, $5, $20, $100. I've received tips of all sizes at my shows, and any amount you're able to give helps make this possible.
