Donation protected

Megan was born on Grand Bahama Island, January 16th, 2006 with a Cerebral Spinal Complex

Malformation (Dysgenesis of the Corpus Callosum, Hydrocephalus- Fluid on the brain), which

from birth she has been undergoing both surgical and medical treatment involving neurosurgical procedures (Repair of Deficit and Shunting). Having Dandy Walker Syndrome along with other ailments, Megan has been closely followed by Physicians and Surgeons alike. Megan more than ever now needs our support.

Megan is experiencing Chronic pains to the point of having to take epidural injections. Weight loss, muscle weakness slight memory loss with confusion, both numbness in the head and feet along with involuntary body spasms. Her most recent MRI Reports suggest further evaluation is needed where a matter was seen over the frontal brain. Autonomic Dystonia Syndrome was also discovered during a Vari Card Examination where seizures are in the nerves which subjects her to having a stroke. Megan has many sleepless nights and challenging days as she tries her best to handle it with a smile.

Known by many of being an energetic and loving child who deeply cares about people, Megan over looks our flaws. She has a beautiful personality that brings sunshine to a dark room. Megan also has a special place in her heart for the disabled, the elderly, the kittys at the Humane Society and participating in the chores of feeding the family’s 13-year-old dog name Princess. Spending quality time with her sisters and grocery shopping are days Megan look forward to, and finds it so incredibly fascinating that being a tiny 15-year-old brings a little excitement. Upon entering establishments that have rules “no kids under 12 allowed” Megan is ask to present a photo ID for proof of age. She loves it!!!

Life has changed for Megan. For most days, she is lethargic, withdrawn and ailing. Giving sincere gratitude to her doctors for all their help, support and referrals, Megan is in crisis of needing further medical care and therapy that is presently not offered in the Bahamas at this time.

Since birth, Megan she has come a long way with being a fighter through the grace and mercy of God and has made it thus far. Labeled as the Miracle Baby, she’s not about to give up on life.
