Megamorphis x Scuba Rising

Ruben passed away aged 21 tragically in a traffic accident leaving his family, Lily, Geeti, Isla and Maja, Paul, Brett and Bailey and his beloved friends and tribe. It was an unimaginable loss for all. Ruben was an artist, creator, teacher and builder and brought people together with his positive energy, openness to everybody and his "get shit done" approach. He was his happiest being apart of the underground music community and spending time in the bush.

 

In Ruben's honour, his close tribe and family are organising a bush doof with the intent of bringing Ruben's community together for joy, love and mourning. We will be building stages from scratch and creating art and music spaces to nurture and inspire Ruben's vision of a doof which creates an atmosphere that connects everyone back to the roots of appreciation and love of the creativity and beauty around us. Being in the moment with Ruben.

The celebration will be starting with the traditional owners of Dja Dja Wurrung country in Victoria welcoming Ruben's ashes to country with a smoking ceremony.

 

All of the proceeds will be going towards:

- Welcome to Country memorial ceremony

- Regeneration of the bush and land

- Amenities (Toilets, Drinking Water, Kitchen etc)

- First Aid

- Food for participants 

- Art & Decor

- Generators & Fuel
- Walkie-Talkies

- Trailer hire

- Building Materials
- Rubbish removal
