Megaesophagus Surgery For Max

Donation protected
Many of you may have already seen our original post about Max. He is a shepard mix roughly 8 months old, who came to us in October with an undiagnosed case of Megaesophagus.  Over the past two months, we have taken Max to our vet Dr. Uhler at Blackwood animal hospital for some additional tests.  Max's underlying cause for his Megaesophagus is a birth defect, persistent right aortic arch (vascular ring anomly) with this diagnosis Max was taken to a specialist at North Star.  Unlike many cases of Megaesophagus,  Max's is surgically repairable. The quicker we can get him in for surgery, the better his chances are at a successful outcome.  Unfortunately this surgery is financially outside of the rescues means. We rarely ask for donations as we know there are a lot of needy and sick dogs, but Max truly is one of a kind.  We are hoping with our over 12,000 followers we can raise enough money to get max this surgery. We will post all material related to where every dollar goes that is raised.  Donations for max's previous vet visits at Blackwood Animal Hospital can also be made directly to them.
Even if you can not financially donate, please continue to share our gofundme link. Thank you from all of us at The Riley Rescue.
