Meg (Pugh) Kelsic Needs Your Help
Donation protected
Hey everyone. We’re reaching out because our sweet sister needs your help. We are devastated to write that the girl who boosted in the X-games halfpipe competition not once, but twice -- the biggest badass on the snow -- the most thoughtful person we know -- is now fighting for her life. Meg was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal Cancer that has metastasized to her ovaries.
For the past 3 years, Meg, her husband Mark, and their cat Kai have been living off the grid in Hawaii: surfing, snorkeling, cooking, making art, and just enjoying the island life that has suited them so well. The pair has been building a home with their own hands on the land that they purchased on the Big Island. Now, they have temporarily left everything behind and relocated (with Kai in tow) to Oahu so Meg can receive the best care for her aggressive cancer. Mark is a true angel and is making sure Meg is as comfortable as possible as she combats this ruthless disease.
Meg and Mark need financial assistance and lots of good thoughts from you, her loving community. We are trying to raise $30,000 to cover expenses on Oahu and to assist with bills as she goes through treatment. Donations will go to support relocation, medical, and unforeseen expenses, as well as cost of living and additional therapies.
Maybe you know ripper Meg from snowboarding in Tahoe, Bend, Colorado, or Mt. Hood. Maybe you met her during her adventures on Orcas Island or in Hawaii. Or perhaps you even remember the smiley little girl from Sunnyvale, California. Regardless of how you know our sister, she is still the same fun-loving person from all those years ago. Thank you for taking interest in her health and well-being. Please consider donating (anything helps!) and sending her well wishes and good thoughts. I know she would like to hear from all of you. Thank you for loving our Meg!
