Meg Pettus Oliver's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Hi I am Inez McDonald! My best Friend Ashley Fisher is daughter to Meg Pettus Oliver. Meg is like a second mother to me and Mimi to my children. Her family is in need of help for her medical costs. These costs are racking up daily.
Short back story: Meg Pettus Oliver has fought with Lupus, Sorjen's disease, and fibromyalgia for over 2 decades. She has survived a stroke and blood clot on her brain and many other scary medical events, but nothing like what happened to her on Wednesday 10/28/2020. Meg is still hanging in there but barely responding. The Pettus Family has incurred very high medical bills and they are in need of some relief from that Burden. If you find it possible in your heart to give please do so this family has helped and loved on so many over the years and they need us now more than ever! Below you can read what has happened to Meg.

On Wednesday ( 10/28/2020 ) morning around 10:30a Meg's mother ( Pat or Granny as we call her) went in to check on her because she let her sleep in to get some rest. She found Meg laying in her bed, with throw up all in her bed, gurgling and unconscious. Granny and granddaddy ( Terry) called 911. Meg was taken by ambulance to the Hospital. Soon after arriving the Doctor's checked her brain there were no signs of  blood clot, stroke, etc... all tests cam back normal. Meg's Blood work was clear and all her normal meds were in her system. The doctor's did find that she had aspirated the throw up which caused an infection in her lungs.

Currently, She has not regained consciousness but has started saying some words sporadically.  She is now in Hospice care at home but the nurses and doctors do not anticipate her living in this condition for much longer. Please continue to keep the Pettus family in your prayers as this is a difficult time for all.

Any and all help is much appreciated and will help the family cover all medical costs associated with Meg's hospitalization and Hospice care. We are praying for a full recovery but that may not be in God's will.

Sincerely,

Inez McDonald
