Meg Minus Stump Equals Life

Hi my name is Catherine, I am Megs ma.

I am asking for help for my daughter, she needs an operation on her right hand due to a condition called CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome) also known as the suicide disease due to the pain and not many obvious signs that people can see.

We are know having to go private, due to doctors failures in our public health system. The only procedure that could actually help is a full amputation of the stump and knuckle, a nerve cap on the main nerves to stop them growing. The public doctors refuse to do any of this while in the meantime her pain Is getting increasingly worse due to the nerve damage.

Yes she did chop off her own finger due to pain (COULD YOU IMAGINE BEING IN THIS MUCH PAIN YOUR WILLING TO SELF AMPUTATE YOUR OWN LIMB) at the time her pain was reduced but due to the doctors breaking yet another promise and not removing the stump her pain has increased due to it being unable to move or function and is just bandaged 24/7 because it is hyper sensitive to everything. It is constantly In the way and she regularly bangs it causing cuts and bruises on a already infected injured stump(She can’t put on a bra you tie at the back, she struggles to tie laces, showering with the water and heat kills her.)

I have seen my happy, joyful, confident daughter go so down hill that it is frightening.

There is a possible solution for a good bit of her pain to be reduced but it all depends on money. She knows I am doing this but mentally cannot be apart of the fundraising due to her being so close to getting help but always so far and cannot go through the disappointment again. So I am just hoping and praying I get to the target and be able to tell her, for the first time in 9 years she can afford to go to a doctor that can actually help and understands her condition.
