Meg Kearney Ellenbaum's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Hi everyone!
On Wednesday, February 16th, Meg Kearney Ellenbaum and her wife Ryan Ellenbaum welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby into the world! Asher Patrick was born at 2:01pm at 7 lbs 6 oz. Our hearts are full as we welcome Asher to our great, big family.
Unfortunately, Meg encountered complications after childbirth, resulting in a spinal cord injury and partial paralysis. She has since been under the care of a team of doctors and nurses at Bryn Mawr hospital outside of Philadelphia, PA. On Thursday, February 17th, Meg underwent emergency neurosurgery. There is great optimism that the surgery was a success, and Meg's Neurosurgery team is hopeful that she will fully recover, but have acknowledged that she has a very long road ahead of her.
As you can imagine, Meg & Ryan face unexpected, astronomical hospital and recovery bills, well beyond what insurance will cover. We know there are many people in their extended network who are eager to help in some way, so we've established this GoFundMe as an opportunity to do so. Please consider donating to help Meg, Ryan, and Asher if you can! Any amount is appreciated and will go directly to the Ellenbaum family.
Armed with her faith, strength, and resilience and surrounded by the love of her wife Ryan, her baby Asher, and her countless family members and friends, we are confident that Meg will come through this stronger than ever.
We thank you ALL for your thoughts, prayers, and support in this difficult time.
