Meg is getting a kidney transplant

Donation protected
It’s been 5 and a half years since Meg started to undergo dialysis after her kidneys failed due to an untreated kidney infection that the emergency room her parents took her to at 15 failed to diagnose. She has stayed strong through over 20 surgeries including a hysterectomy, a parathyroidectomy, ash catheter placements and replacements. Meghan has showed incredible strength and determination through all of her struggles and yet there is one more important hurdle to get over; which is being able to receive a kidney transplant in San Francisco. Yes, she has great insurance coverage for the surgery but afterwards she will be having to stay in San Francisco for a while to go to follow up appointments to make sure the new kidney is being accepted by her body and everything is going well for her. Insurance does not help with those expenses and to stay in that area is very expensive. Many people have asked Meg what they could do but she has never asked for any type of help.

I’m asking for your help to make sure Meg has the funds available for when she gets that call. There is a 12 hour window from the time she gets the call to when she has to be at UCSF. Please help me help her. Anything and everything helps. No donation is too small and this will be helping one of the most amazing young lady’s I’ve ever known. If you have any questions please reach out to her as she is very open to answering anything you might want to know!
