In April 2026 a stray pregnant cat turned up in my garden. I took her in so she could have her kittens in safety, with the intention of finding them a rescue space. Unfortunately I've been unable to find anyone to take them, and Meg has since developed some gastrointestinal issues, which require veterinary investigation and laboratory tests.
I had hoped to fund the care of Meg and the kittens myself, but the costs are really spiralling now and I need some help.
To break it down, I need to pay for:
4x vaccination courses at £88 each.
Spay for Meg - £118
£140 - initial veterinary appointment regarding gastro issues
£80 - 2nd vet appointment and antibiotics
£280 - laboratory fees
This already totals £970 before even thinking about the costs of food, litter, and treatment once the lab results come back.
I can't afford all of that myself. I didn't want to try and raise funds, because it was my choice to help them, but now I realise I have no choice.
I've set the goal amount quite high, but anything I can generate will be a huge help.
Thank you ❤️
