Meeting my Purpose - Education

Hello Everyone,

The last year has been very difficult for me so I haven't updated this campaign for awhile. Between the loss of a significant relationship and the passing of the rest of my mother's generation it has been a challenge to maintain focus on a goal and I apologize to anyone who has donated already if I appeared to have dropped out and wasted anything that was given. The reality is that I simply couldn't bring myself to look at my gofundme page for a long time because I simply didn't have the emotional energy to do so.. 

My original plan was to raise as much as I could to go to a coding bootcamp but now after a period of prayer and additional seeking for my purpose I have decided to change focus. I have discovered a path to return  to school and complete my bachelors degree without incurring additional debt if I can first pay off the money I still owe to DeVry university to get my transcript released. My plan now is to get the transcript, and then pay for a year or two of school at Columbus State Community College through scholarships, fundraising and also covering costs out of my pocket, and upon completion of an associates degree to transfer to the Ohio State University where I most likely qualify for the Buckeye Promise Program. Those who qualify for this program will have any remaining tuition not covered by a Pell Grant covered instead by the university itself. 

To this end my goal now is to pay off the $3,648 dollars that I still owe to DeVry so that I can get my transcripts and get the process moving. I would like to raise as much of this as possible through fundraising but it will be feasible if I can raise enough that I only have to pay around $1,000 dollars out of pocket myself.

Any donations that I receive will be appreciated beyond words, and if this works out for me, one of my future goals is to give money to someone who is in a similar situation and truly in need every year so that they can better themselves.
