Meet William, a 2-year-old boy
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are reaching out to you today to help raise funds for a very special little boy who is dear to our hearts. Meet William, a 2-year-old boy who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called 1p36 deletion syndrome.
1p36 deletion syndrome is a chromosomal disorder that affects about 1 in 10,000 newborns. It causes developmental delays, intellectual disability, and sometimes seizures. Children with this condition often face a number of challenges, including difficulty with communication, motor skills, and sensory processing.
William is a sweet and happy little boy who loves to play and explore the world around him. However, due to his condition, he has difficulty with sensory processing and often becomes overwhelmed in busy or noisy environments. This is where sensory toys can be incredibly beneficial for William.
Sensory toys are designed to stimulate the senses and provide a calming effect, which can help children like William to cope with sensory overload. These toys can include items such as weighted blankets, fidget toys, and sensory swings. However, these toys can be quite expensive and are not always covered by the NHS.
This is why we are asking for your help. Your donations will go towards providing William with the sensory toys he needs to help him cope with his condition. Not only will these toys bring joy to William, but they will also help him to develop his motor skills, communication, and cognitive abilities.
In addition to helping with the cost of sensory toys, your donations will also go towards William's day to day care and private medical bills. As you can imagine, caring for a child with 1p36 deletion syndrome can be very expensive, and any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference to William and his family.
We appreciate your kindness and generosity in supporting William and his family. With your help, we can make a real difference in the life of this special little boy.
Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
