Nayo, better known to his family and friends as “side purse”, is an energetic, outgoing, sports loving child. 16yo Nayo is a student at the St. Lucia Sport Academy. He is an all round sports lover but his passions are for long distance running, long jump, cricket and soccer. He has been a sportsman from preschool and has won various medals for his previous primary school - Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary School (St. Lucia).

 

3 weeks ago Nayo started feeling ill and complaining of joint pain. He was taken to OKEU where they diagnosed him with dengue. They ran more tests as he kept complaining of pains, it was then said to be joint pains.

 

Yesterday, December 30th his family received the unsettling news that Nayo was diagnosed with Leukemia. Unfortunately, St. Lucia does not have the medical capacity to treat Nayo here and he needs immediate transport to the United States for treatment.
