Hi I'm Glo! But more importantly, the floofy being on the picture is Milo.

Almost eight years ago, when Milo was just three months old, he came into my life and changed everything. He’s been my constant through everything; a calm, floofy presence who loves to lounge, flop dramatically across the floor, and shout for snacks. He’s been there through two big house moves, through losing my dad, and through all the ups and downs life has thrown at me these past 8 years. Oh and he’s a real character too, particular about his personal space, and absolutely devoted to licking himself clean if you dare touch him without permission.

In late June 2026 Milo stopped eating. One day he was fine, the next he wasn’t. I rushed him to the vet, expecting something manageable. Instead, I was told he needed to be admitted immediately. A few days later came the diagnosis that changed everything: cancer. Lymphoma or histiocytic sarcoma, the vets can’t differentiate between them, and both are serious. This was a real shock and the week that followed is still a big blur.

What’s remarkable is Milo’s response and his strong spirit. He’s responding incredibly well to initial treatment, so well that looking at him now, you’d see a cat living his best life. He jumps up every morning purring. He hunts birds in the garden. He flops out completely relaxed, playing in his ice cream van tent. He’s eating well. He’s living well.

Thankfully, insurance has covered his initial diagnostics, treatments and medication. But sadly, his policy limit runs out at the end of July, and his new policy doesn’t renew until September. That leaves an entire month where scans, blood tests, and medications can’t be covered by insurance, potentially thousands of pounds when Milo might need them the most.

All I want is to give him every comfort, every treatment option, every chance at good quality time for as long as we have together. He deserves that.

So I wanted to ask, if you find yourself in a situation where you have a spare few pounds laying around, whether you’d be willing to contribute to his care. It would mean the world to us. Every pound will go toward Milo’s care during this gap month, keeping him comfortable and giving us more time together.

Milo has been there through everything. Now I’m please asking for help to be there for him.
