MEET ME UNDER THE BLEACHERS is a senior thesis short film written and directed by Sophie Aguila at Temple University's School of Film and Media Arts.
We want to thank everyone who has supported us so far; this project could not have gotten this far without you!
We had our first preview screening at Temple’s 2024 senior showcase, where the film received Best Producing, Best Directing, Best Lighting, and the Audience-Choice Award!
BLEACHERS will have its world premiere at the Garden State Film Festival in Asbury Park, NJ this March! We will also screen at the FirstGlance Film Festival Philadelphia this May!
Further funding will go toward festival circuit costs, marketing, and distribution.
LOGLINE: Torn between attending homecoming and her family’s reunion, a high school senior discovers a mysterious gateway to navigate both worlds at once.
This short film was created to tell a story about coming-of-age as a young woman, and the bumpy road this can take as someone grows into their identity. We hope for it to resonate with any young adults who struggle or have struggled with insecurities, and to promote confidence in their uniqueness!
Stay tuned for updates on where you’ll be able to screen the film!
