Hola! My name is Coco-Miguel, I was born on the streets in Mixquic Mexico City and I'm about 1 and half years old.
Read my story by Daily Mail- https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8170907/Mange-ridden-rat-like-dog-grows-hair-learns-play-dramatic-transformation.html
I look like this because I have never had a home and no one to look after me. This has left me with parasites that make me itch and makes my hair fall out. I am suffering badly from malnutrition.

Today, some Australian strangers found me sleeping in the sun, they worried about my health and immediately found some food for me. I was so excited to get some love and attention.

Straight away they made plans to help me have a better life.

Today, some Australian strangers found me sleeping in the sun, they worried about my health and immediately found some food for me. I was so excited to get some love and attention.

Straight away they made plans to help me have a better life.

I took my first Uber the 40kms back to Central Mexico City straight to the vets for a check up.
The vet gave me an antibiotic shot for swollen lymph nodes, as well as worming and flea tablets. He said, apart from being mistreated by the world, I can get better. My new carers also bought me food suitable for my condition and medicine for the next 3 days.
Next week, when i'm feeling better my carers will take me back to the vet for my first ever vaccinations.
Now, my carers would love to make me a forever pet at home in Australia if possible. Shelters here in Mexico are overwhelmed with homeless dogs and struggle financially to support all of them.
Unfortunately, there are certain costs for me to regain my health that my carers need some help with (many more vet visits, vaccines, medicines etc.) and potentially for travel cost back to Australia (mandatory vaccines, flights, import permit ($480AUD), 10 days Quarantine and kennel accomodation (>$2500).
My carers will be with me for 5 months in Mexico, however vaccinations start next week for me to have a chance at a new home in Australia. Ultimately, we need to raise funds by January 2020 to help with these costs.
Please, help with whatever you can. I would love to start a new life with a loving family in Australia.
Ruby and Eve (carers):
We are committed to ensuring that Coco-Miguel gets healthy and finds his forever home, however we understand that due to quarantine restrictions of our country, our forever home may not be with us. In this case, we will ensure he is healthy, vaccinated and re-homed. Any remaining funds will be directly donated to local animal shelters here in Mexico.
