Meet Ashton: A Brave Fighter and a Joyful Spirit

Ashton is a playful, loving child with a heart full of joy. Whether he’s watching Mickey Mouse, playing with family, or just spending time with his mom, Ashton’s laughter is a constant reminder of how precious life is. At just 2 years old, Ashton’s world was turned upside down when he was diagnosed with stage four Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Since then, he’s shown immense courage, fighting through the toughest treatments with a smile on his face.

Ashton has endured 5 rounds of chemotherapy, 4 rounds of immunotherapy, and many more rounds of radiation at Boston Children’s Hospital. He’s fought tirelessly and, at one point, was transferred to UVM for further treatment. After an additional 6 rounds of immunotherapy and 12 rounds of radiation, Ashton is currently stable with his cancer- but his battle is far from over. He’s now facing stage 2 kidney failure, which requires continuous care at UVM, leaving his family with no option but to stay by his side, day in and day out.

In 2024, Ashton’s family dynamic changed dramatically. It’s now just Ashton and his amazing mom, Jen. Jen has been an unwavering source of strength for Ashton, dedicating herself fully to his care and well-being. While she once found joy in teaching dance and connecting with the dance community, the intense medical demands of Ashton’s treatment have made it nearly impossible for her to keep a job. They now live paycheck to paycheck, just trying to make ends meet while ensuring Ashton gets the best care possible.

Ashton’s medical bills continue to pile up, and Jen is doing everything she can to provide for him and give him a chance at a long, happy life. That’s where you come in. We are reaching out for support to help cover medical expenses and to ease the burden on Ashton’s family during this incredibly challenging time.
