I lost my job seven months ago. Though I have been applying (and interviewing) constantly, I still have not found new employment. My unemployment has run out. I have loans from a couple of generous people, but money is running low.

Last week, I found out that my car needed not only an oil change, but new brakes, new struts, a new cable to open the hood, and a few other things. It's not safe to drive. I need it to get to interviews--I have an in-person next week--and I need it to get around, period.

On top of that, Mee Noi (pictured) is sick for the third time since I lost my job. I cannot afford to bring him to the vet. And some of the things he needs are running out; he has feline herpes, and it manifests in upper respiratory infections. He takes regular meds and supplements. He's wheezing, sneezing, and sometimes coughing, and I am worried about him.

I hate to ask for help at any time, and it feels worse right now, with the whole world turned upside down, but if you can help at all, I would be so grateful.
