Make a contribution to support Meduza Project.
Meduza is an independent Russophone media organisation, known for its commitment to critical and fact-based journalism. In 2022 it was awarded the free speech award Fritt Ord, among other things for its reporting on the war in Ukraine. Since it was founded in 2014 Meduza has consistently departed from the uniform pro-government rhetoric characteristic of a big part of the media landscape in Russia, and taken a stance against censorship and propaganda. Today, despite growing censorship, the Meduza team still delivers news to Russia, and according to their own estimates reaches approximately 18-20 million people every month.
However, Meduza is in trouble. The organisation faces serious financial difficulties, and has asked its readers for support. On behalf of the ONRS (Oxford New Russian Society), we ask for donations — large and small — to support Meduza’s crucial work.
All money donated through this fundraising scheme goes directly to Meduza. Every contribution makes a difference!
Things to bear in mind:

- Please be aware that Meduza is considered an "undesirable organisation" in Russia. If you are a citizen of the Russian Federation, donating may carry certain risks. We urge you to carefully consider whether it is safe for you to do so.
