Medusa’s Menagerie was born from a simple truth: reptiles are some of the most misunderstood, neglected animals in the UK. Often seen as a "hobby" reptile keeping is an odd world full of shady dealing, neglect and surrender.

While dogs and cats find shelters and sympathy, snakes, lizards, and tortoises are often hard to rehome, their history mostly unknown as they spend the 15-50 years of their lives, passed from one owner to the next. Or worse. We want to change that.

We are a charitable reptile rescue dedicated to giving these animals a second, or tenth, chance.

Everyday we wake up knowing there are more on the way, they are all deserving of a life free from stress, neglect and abuse.

In just a week or so we are expecting an unknown amount/species of terrapins as we are supporting Liverpool Council with an illegal breeding operation.

We’re about to do our first public handling experiences- increasing our reach in the community & building a sanctuary where compassion meets knowledge. We want to show people how to care for these amazing animals.

This fundraiser helps us pay vital vets bills, house, health check, feed, water, clean, nurse, and keep warm the animals who end up in our care, ensuring they are given every chance to live full, healthy, and happy, lives.

Everyday we're expanding our rescue capacity, and reaching more people with life-changing education.
