MEDSERVE Wales is a dedicated Welsh charity that provides voluntary, enhanced emergency medical care around the clock. The team's members come from diverse medical backgrounds — including consultants in anaesthesia, emergency medicine, and pre-hospital emergency medicine, alongside specialty doctors, paramedics, nurses, and advanced critical care practitioners.

The critical services provided by MEDSERVE involve giving seriously ill or injured patients timely, high-quality, and potentially life-saving enhanced care. This includes delivering advanced pain relief through drugs and nerve block injections, providing senior clinical decision-making on scene, mechanical CPR and ventilation, advanced resuscitation techniques, as well as surgical procedures and anaesthesia.

MEDSERVE’s team seamlessly integrates with NHS ambulance services during emergencies, making their presence often indistinguishable at the scene. Despite the gravity of these incidents, many of those helped may not realise that the expert care they received was provided by volunteers who dedicate their time to save lives.

The funds raised through our Mt Toubkal Challenge will be instrumental in maintaining MEDSERVE’s emergency vehicles and purchasing essential equipment that enables them to continue their incredible work during people’s most critical moments.
