Update: I have applied for MAWD three more times. Through the compass app with help from the Center for Community Resources I finally got my application through. I am working hard to gather the mountain of paperwork they require to prove my disability. Wish me luck!

Hi, I'm Meg, a Type 1 diabetic with Bipolar 2. In November, I lost Medicaid despite being on disability. So, I got a part-time job and applied for Medicaid for Workers with Disabilities (MAWD). I applied three times. Each time, SSA claimed they never received my application. I went on my husband's health insurance. Each med is at least a $30 copay. If I can get 90-day refills, I estimate I'll need around $960 a year to stay alive and well. Can you find it in your heart to help me afford my medications?
