Help Sri Lanka Breathe - MEDQUIP - Breath of Life
Please take a moment to hold your breath and read the rest of the content below because that might allow you to feel the misery of the patients who are fighting to survive in our motherland going through.
Sri Lanka is seriously ill. A large influx of seriously ill COVID-19 patients starting to strain our Sri Lankan Healthcare System.
As of August 29, there were 212 deaths and a 7-day average of 200.
MEDQUIP - A breath of life!
WeCare4U Team Team in Toronto (established in 2010) is coordinating with Shraddha TV Sri Lanka and the College of Anaesthesiologists & Intensivists of Sri Lanka is organizing medical equipment fundraiser to help Sri Lankan hospitals fight COVID.
Donating essential medical equipment will empower our health care workers to be better prepared to reduce the death rate and provide better care for patients.
In phase 1 of the project, we are looking to raise $3.2M CAD to help purchase the medical equipment in the mentioned list.
We have already collected $10,870.00 CAD were collected among us (in addition to the GoFundMe donation) and donated Rs1,905,540.00 (Sri Lankan currency) to purchase two bedside monitors.
All donations will receive a receipt issued by Shraddha TV in Sri Lanka for the corresponding conversion.
This is a daunting endeavour that can only be overcome with the collective effort of all of us. Let’s work together to help our friends in Sri Lanka!
