Our father is our hero. He showed us what true love is, and what it means to truly care about one another. He worked hard so he could give us everything we could ever dream of. But this love, kindness, and unselfishness carried with not just our family, but everyone else he met. From school teachers, to friends and family, everyone wanted Mr. Medina to be there. He brought laughter to every situation and shared that big heart of his even to his last days.
On December 2, 2013, our lives drastically changed. Our dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. From that day forward, everyday was a battle. Yet, our dad was strong. Everyday he told us how much he loved us, and how thankful he was to be our father. He never let us give up hope. He had faith that with continuous prayers and faith in God, we could overcome this battle.
Unfortunately, on December 11, 2015, we lost our battle. Our dad left us with a sense of peace knowing there would be no more sleepless nights, no more hospital visits, & no more pain. He leaves a family of five behind full of sorrow, but happiness to know he is in a better place at the side of God.
Thank you for all your love and comforting words. We know that this will be a very difficult time for all of us that knew him. We appreciate everything you have already done for us. Unfortunately, we are still in need of your help. We are trying to raise this money to lay our hero's body to rest and to pay for medical expenses.
This is very difficult for us to ask, especially during the holidays, but we ask that you find it in your hearts to support our cause. We appreciate any donation. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
