Vivian Young's Cancer Treatment Journey
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
My Mom Vivian Young has recently been diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer that has metastasis to her bones throughout her entire body. We have been told that these are the most painful cancers. She has had many ER and doctor visits, which has been an emotional rollercoaster. It's terrible to see Mom falling apart like this. She was living everyday life in April, but when she was diagnosed in May, she turned for the worst.
She has had many side effects of this condition, such as fluids filling her lungs three different times, becoming anemic and needing a blood transfusion, and blood clots in her left leg. All of these issues happened before she started her treatment in July. Now that we have started her treatment plan, the emotional rollercoaster is getting worse because these cutting-edge medicines are costly. A one-month supply costs $18,000. We have signed her up for financial aid programs to help cover the expensive treatment. Still, Medicare does not completely cover her other medications and hospital visits, and she has quite a few outstanding costly medical bills. My Mom gets SSI, but it's a meager amount, and I can't afford these extra bills.
If you know my Mom, Vivian, she is a lovely and fun person. She is going through one of the most challenging times in her life. I know it's hard to donate, but it would really help if you could. She would forever be grateful and appreciative.
I have set our donation goal for approximately one month's suppy of medicine.
With your help, I hope we can get her back up on her feet and live a semi-normal life again.
Thank you,
Matt Young
