My mother Maggie was admitted to the hospital on Thursday evening with severe blood loss due to internal bleeding.  She was rushed to St. Vincent's in Portland via ambulance for a blood transfusion.  It was later discovered that the cause of the blood loss was from two ulcers.  These ulcers resulted from fatty tumors (benign) which grew through the lining of her stomach and will need to be surgically removed.

While she does have some insurance, we are unsure what it will cover.  The funds from this campagin would be used to pay any outstanding medical bills and replace the income lost from missing so much work.
