Medical Expenses for Chris

On December 29, 2019, Chris unexpectedly and suddenly had to be rushed to the ER. Turns out the Hep C which had been lurking for years had successfully taken over his liver, resulting in a few days in ICU in a medically induced coma. He miraculously woke up out of that and was sent home, but now he's having to deal with being unemployed, uninsured and having to pay out of pocket for numerous follow-up doctor appointments, medical procedures, tests and prescriptions.
We’ll be getting into the whole Filing for Disability game (yes, his GI doc says things really are that bad, he probably won’t ever drive a truck again), but in the meantime, day to day expenses can add up quick. It really *IS* expensive to be sick in this country.
