Hi,
I am Uwe Fechner, a wind energy researcher and climate activist in Delft, NL.
Our friend, the climate activist Dianah Mugalizi, was arrested and badly beaten up by the police. She was arrested because she wanted to collect money along the road to assist Michelle, who is under her guardianship and in hospital custody.
We managed to get Dianah released from custody. A doctor and her former lecturer are taking care of her. The doctor can treat the broken leg and the other outer wounds himself, but she has an internal Hematoma in her head, which requires urgent surgery.
The hospital requires a payment of 1,200 EUR for the surgery and a 4-day hospital stay. For medication and aftercare, 300 EUR is required.
Update: For the treatment of her broken leg and injured hand, the hospital charged another 260 EUR.
Update 20 April: Because we could not pay the full bill yet, she was not yet discharged. For each extra night, we have to pay 170 EUR, and every second day, another 263 EUR for wound cleaning.
Please, support her so that she can recover!
