Medical treatment for a friend battling cancer

Our team of 3 members (Bas Linders, Nikolai Tan and Kimmy Loh) are now teaming up from different countries (Singapore, Malaysia and Australia), to help raise funds for our mutual friend – Mei Qi Or’s medical treatment.

Hello fellow Pokemon Go trainers in Singapore & around the world
I would like to bring your attention to one of our fellow Pokemon Go trainers who is currently going through a tough situation. Mei Qi Or is currently having regular chemo sessions to battle an aggressive cancer. As you are probably aware, this is one of the most expensive medical treatments in Singapore, even if you have decent health insurance. She is being very open about her journey and you can follow her updates on her Facebook profile. She is posting these visible for everyone.

After my informal fundraiser via the Pokemon Go Singapore Facebook group has gone quite large and several people asked for a more formal option for donations, I have decided to continue the efforts and up the target. In the 3 weeks leading up to and during Go Fest we managed to raise $25,000 SGD, which covers about 12 of her 16 chemo treatments. But many more costs will be coming in the next months.
Your donation will help cover payments not covered by her insurance for the following areas:
- 16 sessions of Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy at $30,000 SGD
- Costs expected Surgery & Hospitalization at $100,000 SGD
- Radiation therapy after surgery at $5,000 SGD
- Immunotherapy after surgery at $15,000 SGD
All donations beyond this original target of $150,000 SGD will be donated to the Children Cancer Foundation in Singapore: ccf.org.sg/
We understand not everyone is currently in a good spot financially due to Covid-19, so please don't feel obliged to donate and donate only what you can!

Hello everyone!
I am starting this fundraiser to raise funds for a friend who is currently battling stage 3 Breast Cancer who requires quite a big sum of money for medical treatment in Singapore. (approximately $150,000 SGD)
I am setting my goal at $125,000 SGD (I understand it may seem impossible but I still want to try and help as much as I can) and hoping that anyone who is able to donate even if it’s just $5 AUD, that would be greatly appreciated.
However, I do understand that each and everyone of us is struggling and going through different hardships in life during this pandemic but I do know a little by little goes a long way. There’s a saying in Malay known as “Sedikit-sedikit, Lama-lama Jadi Bukit”.
All funds donated/raised will be transferred to this friend or her partner directly once we are able to hit at least a certain amount or even better- if we are able to reach the goal amount.
I hope she will be able to fight through and recover from this. I sincerely thank you in advance for those who are able to donate.
