We are back at it again to help out Michelle during her courageous fight against cancer!
Unfortunately, her cancer treatments in Maine are no longer working and her liver is taking a serious hit. She has recently begun receiving treatments in Boston at Mass General. Most of January was spent taking tests and having blood work done to make sure she is a good candidate for this never been done before clinical trial. Word is, she is the first patient EVER to receive this specific treatment at Mass General Hospital and one of 24 people in the world to get this trial treatment!
Thankfully, she is being reimbursed for hotels stays when they are needed. However, the cost of gas, tolls, food, etc. to drive to Boston every week will add up. Michelle has been driving herself to Boston and has a huge support team within her parents who are with her as often as they can be. This leaves Ben in Maine, taking time off work (and wages lost) to pick the boys up from school and keeping life as normal as possible for them. Currently, there is no known end date of when the treatments can end.
We wish we were raising money to throw a huge party celebrating a big win against this ugly cancer but we are not there. YET! Let's all rally together and support this amazing family. Every little bit will help on Michelle's endless fight to live this wonderful life!
