Border Patrol Agent Christopher Alaniz

For almost 13 years, Christopher (Chris) Lee Alaniz has dedicated his career to serving in the United States Border Patrol. He started at the Falfurrias Station and then became part of the North prosecutions team in Corpus Christi, Tx. Chris is currently stationed at the Kingsville, Tx station where he has dedicated the last two years to training incoming graduates from the Border Patrol Academy. He loves his job and is always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty.I met Chris 11 years ago and I immediately recognized how kind, intelligent, and funny he was. We married in 2014 and welcomed our daughter Olivia Lee Alaniz 2 years later.  Since day one, Chris proudly declares that’s he’s a girl dad. He has been a solid rock for our family. He loves the Dallas Cowboys, has mastered cooking on his Traeger, and makes the best bbq ever. On Tuesday, May 2nd, our lives were turned upside down when Chris was involved in a vehicle accident with an 18-wheeler. Chris was admitted to the ICU with a severe brain injury, broken jaw, broken pelvis on both sides, broken ribs and bleeding spleen. To everyone that has reached out, sat with us in the waiting room, provided meals/snacks for families, taken care of things at home, and most of all PRAYED with us, Olivia and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Olivia hasn’t seen or spoken to her daddy since last Monday night and has been asking to see him every day. We strongly believe everyone’s prayers are giving him strength to get through this.
