My name is Marta. I am an athlete and running coach, and until recently I was a very active and healthy.

Over the past three months, everything has changed, and my life has become a nightmare.

My health issues began while I was in Dubai back in January where I visited hospitals several times and started undergoing medical checkups due to worsening symptoms. After that, I decided to fly to Latvia for further and more detailed medical investigations. Since arriving in Latvia, I have been hospitalized several times and continue to undergo frequent examinations and consultations.

I have already been misdiagnosed twice and given incorrect treatments, which has made things even more difficult.

My health condition has had a huge impact on my daily life. From being a very active, healthy, and independent person, I now spend most of my days in bed, attending hospital visits, and only managing short walks.

I have a range of symptoms affecting my whole body, including numbness in parts of my body, pins and needles, headaches, back pain, blurred vision, constant fatigue, and an irregular heart rate. Most of the time I am in bed, or my friends and my mother help me go for short walks.

Right now, doctors suspect multiple sclerosis (MS), but the diagnosis is still unconfirmed. Due to a previous eye operation, I have metal under my eye and cannot undergo an MRI scan.

I have also completed all heart-related tests. At this stage, it seems I may be facing two separate diagnostic directions—one cardiology-related and one neurology-related—but nothing is confirmed yet.

Every day I am visiting doctors and undergoing new examinations. I have not been able to work, and I have already spent a large part of my savings on medical costs. I need to complete additional tests, and by mid-May I hope to start medical rehabilitation in Latvia, once I have a clearer diagnosis .

I am now facing additional costs for further diagnostics and rehabilitation, and I am currently short by several thousand euros to continue the process I need in order to recover.

I am going through a very difficult time, and all I want is to be healthy again.

It is not easy for me to ask for help, but I am in a situation where I still do not see a clear end. If you are able to support me in any way, I would truly appreciate it.
