A Message From Evelyn’s Oldest Daughter

Hello, everyone. My name is Jillian Abram and this fundraiser is for my mom, Evelyn Ernst. Anybody who knows my mom knows that she is one of the kindest and most generous people not only with material possessions, but with her time. Evelyn has organized countless fundraisers for families with ongoing medical issues and other personal struggles, and has raised tens of thousands of dollars in the names of other people who are in need. She wakes up early to make sure that the whole family has something healthy to eat for breakfast and lunch, goes to work all day for a company she has shown decades of loyalty to, comes home and cooks a healthy meal for everyone, and still manages to keep the house clean and beautiful every single day. Every holiday is a celebration full of lights and decorations, music, food, and family. She makes Halloween and Christmas so magical, and everyone in the family is always so tickled by all the effort and tiny details she puts into them to make them so. She does it all, and moreover, she does it all because she loves her family and those around her. Now, we are asking that you may come together and help her now that it is her turn for love and kindness.

Evelyn has a husband, two daughters, a stepson, a son- and daughter-in-law, three granddaughters so far, four cats and two dogs, and countless other friends and family who adore her and need her. I want my mom to see my sister graduate high school and see me graduate college. I want my mom to be able to meet all of her grandchildren. I want my mom to be able to host holidays for years to come. I want my mom to do all that she wants to do for herself and for us. This is not the first breast cancer diagnosis that my mom has had, but she is a strong woman and has beaten it back before. The cancer is further along this time, but I have full confidence that she can persevere. We have been so blessed to have been given a treatment option for her cancer that could give her years to come, and we are so grateful for this. This treatment, however, is not cheap and it is a lifelong commitment from her to continue it. Our family has already seen tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills from the diagnostic process of this cancer, and this treatment will be another large financial commitment on top of that. I love my mom, and I know so many others do too. Any financial help received will be going directly to fund the current medical bills and ongoing treatment so that our family will be able to more freely enjoy the gift of time with my mom we have been given.
