Support for the Witte Family

On Friday night, September 6, Jonathan Witte was rushed to the hospital due to a sudden and severe headache. A scan was completed and some bleeding in the brain was found. He was transferred to another hospital for more tests. The doctors determined he had a hemorrhagic stroke, and thankfully he hasn’t lost any functionality. Saturday’s procedure didn’t produce conclusive results, so daily CT scans, among other tests, are yet to come.

Jonathan-band and choir director at Illinois Lutheran Schools-his wife Carley, and their 5-month-old daughter Isla, are now facing an overwhelming medical crisis. Jonathan has already undergone three CT scans, along with a cerebral angiogram to diagnose the bleeding. His care has also involved EMT intervention at their home, two ambulance rides, anesthesia, and an extended stay in the ICU that will likely last for several weeks.

As the medical bills begin to mount, we are reaching out to the community for support. Jonathan’s road to recovery will be long and difficult, and the financial strain of these unexpected expenses is immense. From hospital stays to continued treatments, therapy, and the unknown costs ahead, any help will make a significant difference for the Witte family during this challenging time.
