Harjinder Singh
Hi, my name is Simerjeet Kaur, I am a single working mother with two kids and I will be using the funds in order to support my children's education, food and other discretionary expenses. I invited my parents from India to Perth on 31st of March and they were going to return back to India on the 19th of June, expecting a 3 month stay with our family. My father, Harjinder Singh, is a 64 year old healthy Punjabi speaking man.
However on 4th of June, we all were on vacation with my parents at Albany, on the third day we were expecting to be back home, but in the morning around 5am, I came up to my father with reduced consciousness, reduced speech and right side weakness. We rushed to call the ambulance and he was taken to the hospital immediately in Albany. The doctors discovered my father suffered from a large-scaled left MCA territory iscahemic stroke.
He stayed in the Albany hospital for 5-6 days, and he was taken on an air ambulance, from Albany Hospital to Punjab, Amritsar airport to be admitted into the emergency hospital there. We had to arrange a private air ambulance costing $240,000 from Albany airport to Amritsar airport, Punjab. He is currently being treated by health professionals from Amritsar Hospital along with relative and family support in India.
